Joan Kofodimos
Joan Kofodimos is a partner in Teleos Consulting. Teleos consultants coach individual executives and senior management teams on ways to create sustainable success through building organizational capability and then aligning that capability with business strategy.
Joan developed Teleos methods for executive coaching including assessment, feedback, development, and training executives on how to coach others. She also developed methods to help individual executives and management teams improve interpersonal effectiveness and develop skills for effective collaboration. Her current and recent consulting clients include Pfizer, Met Life, Merck, P&G, Hewlett Packard, CIBC, Starwood Hotels, McKinsey, and Arthur Andersen.
Joan was a Behavioral Scientist and Trainer at the Center for Creative Leadership, where she co-created APEX, an unprecedented program for coaching senior executives. At CCL, she also developed and delivered strategic leadership programs for senior management teams. Later, Joan served on the faculty of Duke University and the California School of Professional Psychology.
In addition, Joan served as a consultant on the nationally-recognized General Electric WorkOut and Change Acceleration programs, which transformed the G.E. culture to create empowered, high performing organizations. In that role, she counseled executives on leading strategic culture change, coached management teams leading workforce diversity and process redesign initiatives, designed and delivered facilitative leadership training, and directed WorkOut sessions.
Joan is the author of numerous books and articles, including Your Executive Coaching Solution (Davies-Black, 2007). She has a B.A. in Psychology and an M.A. in Sociology from Stanford University, as well as a Ph.D. in Organizational Behavior from Yale University.
